Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,
This past Saturday 558 kids, 365 volunteers,
93 parents, and 29 teachers & staff
braved the weather to make our February reading clubs a success!
Our
"Music & Celebration" reading clubs next month are on
March 9th, where we will have
musical performances at each school!
We still need a few more musicians, so if you or someone you know can share the gift of music on the 9th, please contact us at
info@readingtokids.org.
RSVP for our March reading clubs here, and please also take a moment to join our March 9th Facebook event. Your friends will be able to see that you're attending the reading clubs, and you can help spread the word by inviting them to join, too.

Team Reading to Kids in the 2019 Skechers Performance Los
Angeles Marathon on Sunday,
March 24th!
We're looking for two more marathon runners to join us in one of the best marathons in the country.
If running 26 miles is too daunting, you can join us in the Big 5K (that's just 3.1 miles) around Dodger Stadium the day before the marathon on Saturday, March 23.
You can

With every mile they train and every dollar they raise, these valiant souls help you inspire kids with a love of reading.

Help represent Reading to Kids during the marathon by handing out water to the runners! You get a free LA Marathon t-shirt, too.
Our group will be at Water Station Mile 5 at Glendale Blvd., between Bellevue and Kent St. in Echo Park, on Sunday, March 24th from 5am - 11am.

HELP FIND SILENT AUCTION ITEMS
& COMEDIANS
Our 20th Anniversary Celebration & Comedy Night is set for
May 11th, and we need your help gathering items for our silent auction that night!
To help you get started, here is information about Reading to Kids to share with potential donors, as well as a donation form for them to complete.
We especially enjoy awarding gift certificates,
amusement park and theater tickets, gift bags, and
autographed items! Anything unique is great, too! If you work at or have a connection with products or services to offer, please help us by asking for a donation to our anniversary.
COMEDIANS WANTED
If you
personally know or have a solid connection to a well-known, headliner comedian who would be interested and available in performing that night, please email us at
