We need more bingo players, so whether or not you can go, please share our Oct. 3rd Bingo event on Facebook by tagging and inviting your friends!

Legendary Bingo is very popular and there is limited seating available. Plan to arrive before 7:00 p.m.
to get a seat. We strongly suggest making a reservation (you must have a party of
4 or more) at Hamburger Mary's to ensure your seat.

FOR OCT. 13TH CLUBS
Our October reading clubs are traditionally our largest of the year, so we'll need your help to recruit 124 more volunteers over the next
few weeks!
We are also in need of volunteers to be
Grade Level Coordinators,
Training Coordinators,
Check-in Helpers, and
Food Runners. Please e-mail
info@readingtokids.org if you'd like to step into any of these important roles.
If you haven't already, please join our
October 13th Facebook Event. It really helps us when you do because your friends can see you're attending the reading clubs. Help us spread the word by inviting them to join!
After you join, don't forget to go to our website and
sign up with us.
Please also email and post on your
Twitter/Facebook/Instagram/ etc. that
we need more volunteers. Be sure to tell your friends and family:
1) The reading clubs are the morning of October 13th near Downtown LA
2) Volunteers must sign up online at
www.readingtokids.org
3) The school at which you will be reading
Please also print out this flyer and post it in heavily populated locations such as coffee shops, the gym, your office or other various community centers. Make it a personal and fun social event by including the school at which you'll be reading. You can also use this

CROSSWORDS LA TOURNAMENT
NEEDS YOUR HELP SUN., OCT. 21
It's back! Crossword puzzle lovers from everywhere will be converging at the
Crosswords LA tournament on
Sunday, October 21st – with proceeds benefiting
Reading to Kids!
This year's tournament will again be held on the University of Southern California campus (specific location details forthcoming), and
Crosswords LA needs our volunteers to help!
They need a dozen volunteers to set up portions of the event, greet and sign in contestants, and collect puzzle papers. It's a lot of fun volunteering with them!
This tournament raises money for Reading to Kids, so
if you can volunteer with them for either the full day or a half day, please reply to this email today. Full day volunteers (8:30am – 4:45pm) get a
free lunch! Help show our appreciation by supporting their efforts for us!

1/2 MARATHON, OR 5 K!

Team Reading to Kids in the 2019 Skechers Performance Los
Angeles Marathon on Sunday,
March 24th!
We're looking for seven more full marathon runners and five Charity Challenge runners (the last 13 miles of the course) to join us in one of the best marathons in the country.
If either of those distances is too daunting, you can join us in the Big 5K (that's just 3.1 miles) near Dodger Stadium the day before the marathon on Saturday, March 23, 2019.
You can
share this Facebook group with any of your runner
friends to encourage them to join our team!
