Our big October reading clubs with
magicians performing are this Saturday, and we have a few spots available, so
sign up and join us!
If you have volunteered with us before and can step into any of these roles, please e-mail us at info@readingtokids.org (even if your regular school is full):
- Bagel Pickup from a shop just south of LAX at 5pm tomorrow

New or Returning Volunteer trainers at Los Angeles, MacArthur Park, Magnolia, Politi, or White
- GLC at Alta Loma, MacArthur Park, Politi, or White

so that another volunteer can read with us!

8 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR CROSSWORDS LA
NEXT SAT., OCT. 21
Want to help out Reading to Kids an additional Saturday this month?
Crosswords LA is holding a crossword puzzle tournament next Saturday, October 21st, with proceeds benefiting Reading to Kids!
This year the tournament will be held on the
University of Southern California campus in the Lower Level (LL) of Fertitta Hall (JFF) (see their directions page for details) – and
Crosswords LA needs 8 more volunteers to help!
This tournament raises money for Reading to Kids, so
if you can volunteer with them for either the full day or a half day, please email us today at
info@readingtokids.org. Full day volunteers (8:30am – 4:45pm) get a
free lunch!
Our volunteers will set up portions of the event, greet and sign in contestants, and collect puzzle papers. It's a lot of fun volunteering with them!
This is a great opportunity to volunteer for
Reading to Kids an additional Saturday in the month!
Who better than our volunteers to help
Crosswords LA run such a great fundraiser for
Reading to
Kids?!

5 MORE MARATHON RUNNERS NEEDED

Team Reading to Kids in next year's 2018 Skechers Performance Los
Angeles Marathon on Sunday,
March 18th!
We're looking for five more full marathon runners and two Stadium vs. The Sea Charity Challenge runners (approx. 13 mile course) to join us in one of the best marathons in the country. You can
share this Facebook group with any of your runner
friends to encourage them to join our team!
Runners can run either the full marathon or the Stadium vs. The Sea Charity Challenge, and the dollars raised will go to support our monthly reading clubs.
