Development and Fundraising

Assisting with fundraising events; outreach to local businesses for in-kind donations; assisting with grant writing.

Board/Taskforce Relations

Participation in Board and Taskforce meetings and involvement with Taskforce committees as a facilitator and coordinator.

Administration

Data recording and analysis post-reading clubs. Ordering, inventory, and distribution of prize books.

Qualifications for the position should include a minimum of a B.A./B.S. degree with experience in volunteer management and program coordination. An ideal candidate will have outstanding written and oral communication skills, exceptional people skills, a keen attention to detail, an energetic personality, an enthusiasm for the benefits that our program offers, and a genuine motivation to work toward providing children with an enthusiasm for reading.

Starting salary will be between $34,000 and $37,000 plus benefits.

If you are interested in applying for the position, please e-mail your cover letter and resume as a single Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat PDF attachment to hiring@readingtokids.org.
