Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,

861 kids, 399 volunteers, 110 parents, and 33 teachers & staff joined us this past Saturday at our Fantasy, Folklore, & Fairytales reading clubs!

Stanford Alumni group volunteering at Esperanza

A few of our volunteers also celebrated significant milestones! Jen Smith (Gratts) attended her 160th, Russell Chittenden (Gratts) attended his 100th, and Cathy Ostiller (Esperanza) attended her 100th reading club! See our Facebook page for a video of Cathy receiving her milestone certificate (and like our page while you are there)!

We hope you can join us for our June 11th "People & Places Around the World" reading clubs!

Our summer reading clubs are smaller, so be sure to sign up early. Please also join our June 11th Facebook event so your friends will see that you're attending and you can invite them to join you!

Note about Alta Loma: For June, July and August, Alta Loma is closed for construction. Alta Loma remains an enthusiastic Reading to Kids partner school, but no programs can operate during construction.

For the next three months we encourage Alta Loma volunteers to RSVP for any of our other 7 schools! We'll be back at Alta Loma on Saturday, Sept. 10th, when we'll really need all of you and your friends for our big, back-to-school reading clubs!
