Sign up today to read to the next generation of scientists and engineers at our "Wonders of Science & Technology" reading clubs on
November 14th. We
still need 206 more volunteers!

November 14th Facebook Event!
November 14th is also College Spirit Day, so represent your alma mater by wearing your school gear! Let's inspire these young students to have a love of reading and an excitement for higher education!
COLLEGE GIVE-AWAY ITEMS NEEDED
We want to give each child who attends our November 14th reading clubs something small with a college insignia on it.
If you can obtain college-related items, stickers are always a hit with the younger kids. For the older kids we like to give them pins/buttons, pens, pencils, notebooks, etc. But really, anything with a college logo will help plant the seeds of college interest.
If you work at or have a connection with a college, please help us by asking for a donation of items with that college's insignia. If you like, you can
click this link for a request letter/email you can send.
Great sources of items with your college's logo are the
athletic department and the bookstore!
To "sponsor" one grade at one school, we need about 40 of one item. To sponsor all of one grade at all 7 schools, then we need about 225 of one item. And anything in between would be very helpful!

Hamburger Mary's in West Hollywood!
The drinks are strong, the drag queen bingo is "R" rated,
and seating is limited, so be sure to reserve your seat in advance!

Cost: $20 suggested donation (cash only, please!), which includes 9 regular bingo games and one grand prize bingo game with fantastic prizes!
Legendary Bingo is very popular and there is limited seating available. Plan to arrive before 7:00 p.m.
to get a seat. We strongly suggest making a reservation (you must have a party of
6 or more) at Hamburger Mary's to ensure your seat.

Reading to Kids in the 2016 Skechers
Performance Los Angeles Marathon! Be a part of team
Reading to Kids as you run in one of the best marathons in
the country on Sunday, February 14th (Valentine's Day).
You can run either the full marathon or a half-marathon, and
the dollars you raise will go to support our monthly reading
clubs.
If you or a runner you know is interested in becoming
one of our fundraising runners or creating a fundraising team,

for all the details.
IMPORTANT NOTE: To register to run on
behalf of
Reading to Kids, you MUST receive from us a
special web address to use when registering on the Skechers
Performance Los Angeles Marathon website.

2015 ANNUAL FUND DRIVE IS ON!
Our thanks go out again to everyone who has donated to our
2015 Annual Fund Drive. The Annual Fund Drive goes on through the end of the year,
and you can donate any time!
We received more than $2,400 in donations at our October 10th
reading clubs. If you have already donated, see
your name listed on our 2015 Annual Fund Drive
page.
