Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,

Our Music & Celebrations reading clubs this past Saturday were swinging and clapping with 1,021 kids, 394 volunteers, 90 parents, and 21 teachers & staff.

Join us in a round of applause for the wonderfully talented and generous musicians who performed for us on Saturday!

Then on Sunday, Team Reading to Kids got up at the crack of dawn to run the 2015 ASICS LA Marathon. They've raised over $13,000, and even though the marathon is completed, please donate today to their fundraising pages on FirstGiving!

Head over to their website to see a slideshow of our runners before, during, and after the marathon.

Looking ahead to next month, click here to sign up early for our Amazing Animals & Interesting Environments reading clubs on April 11th.

READ ALOUD TO KIDS AT THE FESTIVAL OF READERS THIS SATURDAY

This Saturday, March 21st from 10am - 2pm, Friends of the Family presents their annual Festival of Readers at LA Mission College in Sylmar - and they would like our volunteers to read aloud to attending children!

Throughout the morning you'll read aloud to groups of kids, then lead them in brief crafts projects (30 minute versions of our reading clubs). We'll supply everything you need. We need some of our experienced readers to help!

To volunteer, please e-mail info@readingtokids.org
