Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,
Last Saturday's reading clubs had us seeing stars! Thanks to the 180 shining volunteers, 24 glowing teachers and staff, 72 luminescent parents, and the true stars of the morning, the 365 students, the reading clubs were absolutely stellar.
The kids are now officially back in school and the September Reading Clubs are going to be HUGE! We still need 459 volunteers to make the "Faraway Places" Reading Clubs a success on September 14th. Make sure you're not "Faraway" for our next reading clubs and

BACK-TO-SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE
Thank you to everyone who brought back-to-school supplies to the August Reading Clubs! Although we got a lot of supplies, we still need more so we can give away school supplies at the September
14th reading clubs to every child.
More and more stores are offering great back-to-school specials. If you're out and about and see a great special, it would be wonderful if you could pick up a few (or more!) of what we need.
If you happen to have the following laying around (or want to pick some up
at back-to-school sales), we would love to take them off your hands:
NEW
Erasers (Pearl type)
Mechanical pencils (especially "fun" ones)
Spiral notebooks
Binder folders
Pencil boxes/pouches
Please reply to this email or call the office if you have any supplies to donate. September is always a fun month, and made much more so with the giveaways!

If you or someone you know possesses the powers of magic and illusion, please contact the office. We need magicians for each of our seven schools at our October 12th reading clubs!
