This Saturday we celebrate "Independence and Growing Up" at our July 13th reading clubs. Spots may open up from now until the RSVPs close at 3pm tomorrow, so check back often to
sign up.
The reading clubs are currently full. If you're signed up but can't join us, please
click here to cancel as soon as possible so that someone else may take your place.

ADECCO WALK/RUN FUNDRAISERS ON 7/25
On Thursday, July 25, Adecco is hosting two walk/runs to benefit
Reading to Kids, and you are invited to participate!
- Walk/Run #1: meet at 8:30am at Griffith Park - Shane's Inspiration Playground.
The short walk is one loop (3 miles) and the long walk is two loops (6 miles).
- Walk/Run #2: meet at 3:30pm at the Trader Joe's in Redondo Beach for easy parking and we will walk on the beach. Short walk up to the Redondo Beach Pier is 3 miles and the long walk to the Hermosa Pier is 8 miles round trip.
You can choose to walk/run either or both.

On the registration page you want to choose "Los Angeles" as the Event City.
If you register now they will have a t-shirt ready for you at the event. If you have any questions, please reply to this email and we will forward to you the Adecco contact person's information.
Participants will raise $1 for every mile walked, and the money will be donated to
Reading to Kids!

Starting in August, we will start giving away over 900 prize books that have been generously donated by the
Ella Fitzgerald Charitable Foundation!
As you know, every child who participates in our reading clubs is given a book to take home. With the generous support of the Ella Fitzgerald Charitable Foundation and many others, over the last 15 years we have donated more than 160,000 books to school libraries, kids, parents, and teachers!

DODGERS GAME ON 8/30
It's time for Dodger baseball with your fellow
Reading to Kids volunteers! Join us to meet other volunteers, cheer a great game against the San Diego Padres, and enjoy Friday night fireworks afterwards.
