Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,
The holiday season is in full swing, and we want to take a moment to thank all of you for your continued support of
Reading to Kids. Without you, we would not be able to make our reading clubs a success. You help motivate hundreds of kids to get excited about reading, learning, and growing. So in the midst of shopping, feasting, and gift wrapping, we want to thank you for being part of our story. In our eyes you've all made Santa's nice list this year!
As many of you know, the Santa suits provided for our December 8th Reading Clubs were very generously donated by the Pasadena Jaycee's
Operation Santa. If you're on the hunt for a great Christmas Eve volunteer opportunity, look no further! Click here to read more about how you can help deliver toys as Mr. Claus himself. This is a wonderful chance to return the Jaycee's generosity.

YOUR DONATIONS URGENTLY NEEDED!
It is not too late to donate to our 2012 Annual Fund Drive!
Without your support, we would be unable to serve the thousands of children we read to each year. From now until the end of the year, we urge all of you who have not contributed to
please donate now--
no amount is too small!
Congratulations to Matthew Jones, who has regained his title as
the top
2012 Annual Fund Drive Angel! Matthew added yet more donations to our 2012 Annual Fund Drive, including a generous $2,500 donation from the Avery Dennison Corporation, by reaching out to yet more friends and encouraging them to donate.
How You Can Help!
1 - Make a pledge to donate by check or donate online today by visiting our 2012 Annual Fund Drive. Contributions of
any amount are greatly appreciated and
urgently needed!
2 - Show your support by asking friends and family to contribute!
Visit our 2012 Annual Fund Drive
page and look under the "Help us Fundraise!" header for resources, including information on creating your own personalized fundraising page, our handy donor form for raising money with your friends and co-workers, tips for fundraising, and so much more.
3 - Ask your employer if they make matching donations or want to donate to a great cause!
That's what fundraising Angel Kirstin Harper-Smith did - she
asked her employer, Clark Construction, if they would match
the donations she gathered from her co-workers, and they
sent us a matching check for $1,000!
Perhaps your employer will match your
donation to Reading to Kids, or is looking for a
great cause to support before the end of the year. All you have to do is
ask today!

KEEP RECRUITING FOR OUR JANUARY 12TH READING CLUBS!
Our January 12th Reading Clubs are just around the corner, and we're gearing up for some "Discovery and Adventure". January's book selections are sure to make for a memorable reading club, but the 12th can't be a success without your help.
Please keep recruiting, and join
our January 12th Facebook Event. Your friends will be able to see that you're attending the reading clubs, and you can help spread the word by inviting them to join, too.
After you join, don't forget to go to our website and
sign up with us.

THANK YOU ELLA FITZGERALD CHARITABLE FOUNDATION
In October we were delighted to receive 1,025 prize books donated by the
Ella Fitzgerald Charitable Foundation, and they generously donated
another 1,015 more that we have been giving away these last two reading clubs!
Because of their and your support, every child who participates in our reading clubs is given a book to take home and keep. Since 1999 we have donated many thousands of books to school libraries, kids, parents, and teachers, and we could not continue our efforts without the support of groups like the Ella Fitzgerald Charitable Foundation, and
you, our volunteers, donating your time and money.
