Our June reading clubs will celebrate all sorts of "Super Heroes and
Super People." Be a hero, and
sign up now to read to kids
on Saturday, June 9. If you have already signed up
and you can't make it, please
cancel as soon as possible, so that someone can take your
place.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT CHARLES WHITE
Charles White Elementary is holding a special Parent Conference Day this Saturday, June 2nd from 8am-1pm. Volunteers are needed to help with story time, bounce castle supervision, food service, and to lead arts & crafts and physical fitness activities.
There will be a special clothing sale with part of the proceeds benefitting Reading
to Kids. It promises to be a really fun event, and a great way to promote Reading to Kids to the students
and their families. If you’re interested in lending a hand, please

1st ANNUAL JUNE CRAFT DRIVE
Do you dream of hundreds of googly eyes
staring at you from your basement? Have nightmares of
yarn taking over your house? Fret no more! Reading to Kids is happy to help you get a good night's rest!
Reading to Kids is launching our 1st Annual Craft Supply Drive in June! We're especially looking for
construction paper, glue sticks, pipe cleaners, yarn, googly eyes, and popsicle sticks.
Drop all your craft supplies off at the Reading to Kids
office (please call first (310) 479-7455) or bring them to the June
reading clubs!
