Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,
Our 266 kids and 147 volunteers were stars at our "Movies and
Books" reading clubs on Saturday, and the supporting cast of 12 teachers and 48 parents was
simply terrific. Our raffles for fun prizes and a computer ensured a great time for everyone.
On Saturday, September 10th it's back-to-school time, with bigger clubs and lots more kids. Please

to inspire children with a love of reading.

AMBASSADORS NEEDED
As the school year begins, there are many great opportunities to promote Reading to Kids to students, teachers, and parents -- including assemblies, parent nights, orientations, and meetings. We would love your help in sharing what Reading to Kids is all about to the school community.
Please reply to this email if you would like to help out. Be sure to indicate if you are available for day or evening events and if you have a particular school you would like to go to. We especially need Spanish speakers!

SALSA TONIGHT!
We welcome you to join the Special Events Committee
and Reading to Kids volunteers
tonight in downtown Burbank for a great time dancing in the streets to a salsa beat. Louie Cruz Beltran Latin Jazz Ensemble will provide the rhythms. Reading to Kids volunteers will meet at 7pm in front of the
