THANK YOU WATER BUFFALO CLUB

We would like to thank the Water Buffalo Club for its generous and ongoing support. Their recent $9,000 grant will go toward read-aloud books that we'll donate to our partner schools' libraries after the reading clubs!

This grant would not have been possible without the support of Principal Rumble at Leo Politi Elementary School. When the Water Buffalo Club asked to meet some of our kids, he arranged for three Politi students to be part of our presentation. They did a terrific job letting everyone know how much Reading to Kids means to them. A special thank you also to Politi's Intervention Support Coordinator, Belinda Garcia.

BARNES & NOBLE BOOKFAIR & READATHON

Plan to purchase books in June!  If you buy books at any Barnes & Noble store on Saturday June 18th through Thursday June 23rd, a percentage of all sales go to Reading to Kids. Online purchases count also!  Be sure to include our special code 10477966 when you buy.

We'll also be celebrating this Bookfair with a Readathon on Saturday, June 18th at Barnes & Nobles in Manhattan Beach.  Gerry Renert, author of Nathan Saves Summer will read his book at 11am and then Reading to Kids volunteers will read books full of summertime fun until 3pm!  Enjoy a refreshment -- your purchases in the cafe also count!
