Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,
There will be music in the air on Saturday! Our "Music and Celebrations" March
reading clubs feature wonderful books about great music and renowned musicians.
To bring our "Music" theme to life, we
are excited to feature mini-concerts by some very talented musicians
during the last 15 minutes of all of the reading clubs.
Our Saturday reading clubs are currently full, but please continue to
check our website tomorrow before 3pm for openings due to cancellations. If you're already signed up for the reading
clubs and you know you can't make it, be sure to
cancel online
to open up your spot for someone else.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Mark your calendars for the weekend of April 30th and May 1st. Reading to Kids will be hosting a booth at the 2011 Los Angeles Times Festival of Books
at USC.
If you enjoy recruiting volunteers for our Saturday reading clubs and answering questions about Reading to Kids, our booth is the place to be! Click

The Festival of Books is America's largest book festival, and this year it's moving
to the USC campus. The event is free and open to the public on Saturday, April 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
and on Sunday, May 1st from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please note that parking on campus is $10.
We also need volunteers on Sunday, May 1st at the Crosswords LA Tournament
on the Loyola Marymount campus. Volunteers will help registering
contestants and scoring puzzles. Reply to this e-mail if you're interested in lending a hand.

BINGO ON MARCH 20th!
Don't forget that on Sunday, March 20th it's Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary's in West Hollywood!
There is a $20 suggested donation at the door (cash only!) which includes 9 regular
bingo games and one grand prize bingo game with fantastic prizes! Remember, the show is R rated
and a ton of fun.
