It's almost time for our "Halloween, Mysteries, and Magic" Reading Clubs!  They're the second most popular clubs of the year so be prepared for lots of kids.  Come dressed in your creepiest or kookiest or craziest or kitchiest costume (school-appropriate). It's revving up and ready to go!

In order to sustain and expand our program, we need your help! Donations from individuals like you will help to purchase hardcover books for elementary school libraries in low-income communities, fund book donations directly to children and parents to help them develop their own home libraries, and expand our program into new schools and communities.

Last year, we were extremely grateful for your contributions of over $41,000! This year, our goal is to raise at least $45,000 from 1,000 donors over the next two months.

Reading to Kids is excited to be the beneficiary of a very special event with Live Talks LA -- political satirist P.J. O'Rourke, author of Don't Vote--It Just Encourages the Bastards, in conversation with television correspondent and NPR commentator Judy Muller.
