Thanks to everyone who have signed up for the April Reading Clubs. We currently don't have any more
volunteer spots open, but we often have cancellations the Friday before the reading clubs, so please
check back on our website for openings due to cancellations
before our 3:00 p.m. signup deadline. If you have
signed up for the April Reading Clubs but your plans have changed, please click
here to cancel so that someone else may
take your place.

READING TO KIDS CHARITY GOLF TOURNAMENT
The Reading to Kids Charity Golf Tournament will be a fun day of golf and networking. The format is a scramble tournament, making it easy to play for any level of golfer. The tournament will include fun prizes for top foursomes, holes-in-one, a closest-to-the-pin competition, a long-drive contest, and a raffle.
The tournament began as a competition among business schools called the MBA Masters Golf Classic, and it has expanded to become a charity fundraiser for Reading to Kids. Everyone is welcome to put together teams to participate. Or, register as a single, and we'll partner you up!
Not a golfer? Join us for the 19th Hole post tournament reception for dinner, raffle, and comedy.

$185 for tournament (includes greens fees, cart, drinks on the course, and dinner).

UCLA'S FESTIVAL OF BOOKS APRIL 24th & 25th
Reading to Kids will be joining thousands of community members, hundreds of organizations, and scores of
authors at the
Los Angeles Times Festival of Books.
We need people at our Festival of Books booth to help recruit volunteers and answer questions about

The Festival of Books is America's largest book festival and takes place once a year on the UCLA
campus. The event is free and open to the public on Saturday, April 24th from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
and on Sunday, April 25th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Reading to Kids will be at Booth 137 in Zone A.

CROSSWORDS LA SATURDAY, MAY 1st
The Second Annual Crosswords LA Tournament is almost here! On Saturday, May 1st, puzzlers of all skill
levels will be competing for prizes and pride - all to benefit Reading to Kids!
We're looking for volunteers to help with scoring and collecting puzzles. If you're interested in

ALTA LOMA NEEDS VOLUNTEERS
Do you have time to volunteer during the week?
Alta Loma Elementary is looking for volunteers to read
with primary students (grades Kindergarten through 2nd) during the school day on a consistent basis.
The schedule is flexible, but they are looking for volunteers who would be able to make a commitment of
spending time with the kids regularly for at least several weeks.
