Summer is winding down and Reading to Kids is gearing up to go back to school. While some of our schools are year round, many are transitioning to a traditional school year and we are excited to see all the kids after a fun summer of reading clubs, social events and fundraisers.
As always, we thank you for your enthusiasm and continued support of the reading clubs and for inspiring hundreds of children with a love of reading!

Thank you to the 361 volunteers who made the August Reading Clubs a tremendous success. 910 kids enjoyed a day of reading and fun and of course, movie posters!
And be sure to sign up for the September 12th Reading Clubs today. We are expecting a lot of kids this month so sign up early and bring a friend! This month's theme is Fantasy, Folklore, and Fairy Tales.

GRASSROOTS ACOUSTICA ROCKS!
Thank you to Grassroots Acoustica at the Talking Stick Coffee Lounge in Venice for raising $515.00 for Reading to Kids.
Master of ceremonies Mark Islam hosted the 3 hour Heart Of Saturday Night Edition which included performances by local LA musicians and was enjoyed by all who attended. The music jam was a great way to unwind after a busy morning at the reading clubs. We appreciate the generosity of the Talking Stick community, thank you!
