Weekly Update
June 9, 2009

Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,

Don't forget to RSVP for our June 13th Reading Clubs -- yep, that's this Saturday!  We still need 90 more volunteers; click here to sign up!  And make sure to bring a friend!

The theme for this month's reading clubs is "Superheroes and Super People."  Thanks again to Los Angeles Elementary staff for helping to pick out our June books!  Take a peek at what you will be reading on Saturday:
-Kindergarteners will follow the brave journey of a six-year-old girl in Robert Coles' "The Story of Ruby Bridges."
-Second graders will see how they can be heroes for people they have never even met in Candace Fleming's "Boxes for Katje."
-Fourth graders will discover how regular people are heroes every day in Tony Johnson's "Any Small Goodness."
