READ ACROSS AMERICA
Volunteers Needed
The National Education Association's Read Across America is an annual celebration of literacy that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading in honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday.
Gratts Elementary, White Elementary, MacArthur Park Primary Center, and White House Place Primary will be celebrating Read Across America, and they need your help! They are looking for volunteers to spend a couple of hours reading to kids and helping with their special events
GRATTS
Gratts will have two separate events for Read Across America. First, during the school day, they would like guest readers to read to the kids. Then, in the evening, they will have a "Pajama Night" in the multipurpose room where kids and volunteers will come in pajamas to cuddle up with a good book and read!

READING TO KIDS BOWLING NIGHT
Come out to Mar Vista on the evening of Sunday, March 8th and join your fellow volunteers for a FUNtastic evening of bowling.
It's Dollarmania! from 8pm-10:30pm at the Mar Vista Lanes. After $5 for the first game, it's just $1 for shoe rentals and $1 per person per additional game! We have reserved three lanes just for Reading to Kids volunteers, so join us for some ear-shattering strikes, eye-popping spares, and yes, even some excruciating gutter balls!
