Weekly Update
January 29, 2009

Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,

Are you looking for volunteer opportunities during the week?  Do you want to see what a day in the classroom is like?  Now is your chance to visit one of our schools as a classroom helper!

Reading to Kids would like to offer the teacher at each school who recruits the most students to our reading clubs a helper for a day to encourage reading club attendance. Among other things, classroom helpers have the chance to read stories, grade papers, prep assignments, and experience what it's like to be a teacher.

If you are interested in helping out for a day or half day in one of the classrooms, please e-mail Rachel.Zwass@readingtokids.org or call the office at (310) 479-7455. Dates and times are flexible according to your availability.

Many of our partner schools also have needs for volunteer tutors during the week.  If you are interested, contact Rachel.
