Dear Reading to Kids Supporters,
We’re entering into the last stretch of our 2008 Annual Fund Drive, and we need your help to make this year’s drive a success. Thanks to all the generous donations we’ve received so far, we’ve made it to 350 donors and $25,000 — 60% of the way to our goal. But that leaves us with almost $15,000 left to raise and 350 donors to recruit over the next couple of weeks, and we need your help!
Many of you are already so generous in volunteering your time to Reading to Kids — we truly could not run the reading clubs without you. We would not have made it over the last nine years without your support and loyalty. And we look forward to working with you to build a brighter future for the children, families, and schools we serve.
In these tough economic times, the children we serve are often the hardest hit. In homes struggling to provide the basic necessities, purchasing books is not always an option. Your support will help kids and schools build their libraries and enable us to continue inspiring kids with a love of reading through our program.
Please be a part of our story and participate in the Annual Fund Drive today! You can make a donation by sending a check to the office, donating with a credit card through our website, or bringing cash or your checkbook with you to the November 8th reading clubs. No matter the amount, your contribution is important and greatly appreciated. Visit http://readingtokids.org/News/2008AnnualFundDrive.html to make a donation today.
In addition to whatever donation you might be able to make, you can also make a huge contribution by involving others: ask a friend or coworker to participate in the Fund Drive—they might be looking for a good cause this holiday season. Better yet, bring them to the clubs to volunteer so they can see what Reading to Kids is all about.
Thanks for all of your support,
