Weekly Update
October 27, 2008

Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,

Reading to Kids is delighted to welcome Nate Radomski as our new Program Coordinator!

Nate graduated from DePaul University in June 2007 with a degree in Communication.  While at DePaul, Nate was the Editor in Chief of The DePaulia, the school newspaper.  After graduation, Nate spent a year of volunteer service in Duran, Ecuador with Fundacion Rostro de Cristo.  Nate served as the Logistics Coordinator, coordinating groups of high school and college students for week long volunteer trips working with a variety of local social service organization.

Nate's volunteer management and program coordination skills fit perfectly with what we do at Reading to Kids.  He will be working with Program Coordinator Rachel Zwass to coordinate the reading clubs each month.

Nate can be reached at Nate.Radomski@readingtokids.org

Welcome, Nate!

NOVEMBER 8TH "COLLEGE SPIRIT DAY" READING CLUBS

Sign up for our November 8th Reading Clubs and show your school spirit!  Click here to RSVP.

Volunteers are encouraged to wear their favorite school's t-shirts or sweatshirts to the November 8th Reading Clubs. The school represented by the most volunteers will win the 2008 Reading to Kids college face-off and earn bragging rights for the year!  We'll have a competition for the best local, statewide, and national representation.  But most importantly, the kids will see the volunteers' school pride and the value of a college education.
