Dear Friends of Reading to Kids,
Thanks so much to the 476 volunteers who have signed up to read this Saturday! With only a few days to go before our "Holiday" reading clubs we still need over 120 more volunteers! Click here to sign up.
We are also looking for one more volunteer Santa! Please contact Sarah.Kolterman@readingtokids.org if you are interested in helping out as Santa on Saturday.
The December reading clubs are typically our largest each year, featuring a visit from Santa, a holiday raffle for the kids, and fun holiday books and crafts.
Please invite your friends, family, coworkers, and anyone else who may be interested to volunteer with us on Saturday! Below is a sample e-mail that you can send out.

Volunteer with Reading to Kids this Saturday!
Reading to Kids organizes monthly reading clubs on the second Saturday of every month at seven downtown Los Angeles elementary schools (http://readingtokids.org/AboutUs/School_Map_Large.html). The reading clubs run from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Pairs of volunteer readers read aloud to small groups of students from the elementary school (typically between 4 and 6 children per group) in a fun environment. Teachers at the elementary school provide supervision and guidance throughout the morning.
Our next reading clubs are this Saturday, December 8th. The will feature a holiday theme and will include a visit from Santa, a raffle for the kids, and fun holiday books and crafts!
