COLLEGE SPIRIT DAY

College Spirit Day is coming soon, and thanks to student and alumni groups from Cal, Cal State Long Beach, Cal State Dominguez Hills, Caltech, Claremont, LMU, Mt. Saint Mary's, Pepperdine, Stanford, UCLA, University of Chicago, University of Michigan, and USC, we are looking at quite a competition.

Volunteers are encouraged to wear their favorite school's t-shirts or sweatshirts to the November 11th Reading Clubs. The school represented by the most volunteers will win the 2006 Reading to Kids college face-off and earn bragging rights for the year. We'll have a competition for the best local, statewide, and national representation.  But most importantly, the kids will see the volunteers' school pride and the value of a college education.

There is still time for you to sign up for the November 11th Reading Clubs and show your school spirit!  Click here to RSVP.

 SITE COORDINATORS NEEDED AT POLITI

Do you love inspiring kids with a love of reading?  Are you at the reading clubs every month?  Would you like to get more involved?  Then we have an opportunity for you!  Reading to Kids is looking for volunteer Site Coordinators to start at Politi!

Each school has two Site Coordinators who are responsible for overseeing the operations of the reading clubs, managing everything from sign-in and breakfast setup to ensuring that the rooms, books, and volunteers are ready for the reading clubs.  Site Coordinators are critical for the success of our reading clubs and they have a lot of fun in the process!  For more information about being a Site Coordinator, please click here to browse through our Site Coordinator Manual or contact Sarah at (310) 479-7455 or Sarah.Kolterman@readingtokids.org
