Click here to sign up for our "Feelings and Emotions" themed reading clubs on August 12th.
A fun selection of books awaits August readers and volunteers. Our list includes Koala Lou by Mem Fox in Kindergarten, The Story of Jumping Mouse by John Steptoe in 1st Grade, and Becoming Naomi Leon by Pam Mu?oz Ryan in 5th Grade. NOBLE READING CLUBS - UPDATE
Reading to Kids has not held reading clubs at Noble Elementary for the past two months during construction at the school. We have used the break as an opportunity to work with the Tzu Chi Foundation (http://www.tzuchi.org) to merge our two reading club efforts at Noble. The Tzu Chi Foundation has been sponsoring reading clubs on the 4th Saturday of each month using a model similar to that of Reading to Kids. We hope to increase student and volunteer attendance by holding reading clubs once per month led by the Tzu Chi Foundation.
The next Tzu Chi-sponsored reading clubs will be Saturday, August 26th. If you are interested in volunteering, or for more information, please contact Lilian Fanchiang at everybodyreads@yahoo.com.
JOIN READING TO KIDS AT DODGER STADIUM!
The boys in blue have once again donated Dodger tickets for Reading to Kids volunteers!
All volunteers attending the August Reading Clubs will be offered a pair of tickets to the Monday, August 14th Dodger game versus the Florida Marlins (7:10pm). Mark your calendars!
