What a great Reading Club!
Our College Spirit Day Reading Clubs were incredible: we had 262 volunteers and 840 kids in attendance! For a list of last month's volunteers, please click here.
To sign up for the December 11th Reading Clubs, please click here. Our December Clubs are bound to be a lot of fun, as we're planning visits by Santa, a computer raffle, and lots of great holiday crafts. Sign up early to make sure you reserve yourself a spot!
And, thanks to all the generous volunteers and R2K fans who gave during our 2004 Annual Fund Drive. We will be tabulating the Fund Drive results within the next few days and will announce the results as soon as possible! Thanks again for all your help!
College Spirit Day!
Despite a valiant effort by the Trojans, and in particular longtime partner USC Alpha Phi Omega, UCLA beat USC for the second year running at the Annual College Spirit Day Reading Clubs! There were 56 UCLA fans and 29 USC fans at the events, in addition to scores of other volunteers who wore their school finery and got our kids excited about going to college. We even spotted a University of Geneva fan!
