October Books!

Halloween offers such a great opportunity for imagination and storytelling. This year, one of my personal favorite childhood stories -- and perhaps yours -- is our October 5th Grade book: Bunnicula! The story, recounted by Harold (a dog!), describes the strange things that happen when a little rabbit named Bunnicula takes up residence with the Monroe family.

Our whole selection of October books is equally engaging. We're reading Carl Reiner's Tell Me a Scary Story...But Not Too Scary! in Third Grade and hip-hop-inspired Shake Dem Halloween Bones in First Grade. Please click here to see all of this month's books.

What Can I Buy with $10?

A used CD ... 1/3 of a tank of gas(!) ... 2.5 Venti Lattes ...

What can Reading to Kids buy with just $10?
Books for a classroom of eight smiling kids ...

A gift of $25 could buy two new hardcover books for a school library.
A gift of $50 would cover the cost of toner and supplies for a whole month in the Reading to Kids office!
A gift of $100 could pay for a single child's prize books from Kindergarten to Fifth Grade!

Your donations enable us to continue to offer this wonderful program. If you want to ensure Reading to Kids will continue to thrive and expand, you can make it happen!
