Reading to Kids at the 2025
Los Angeles Times Festival of Books

Join Reading to Kids at the Festival of Books on April 26-27 on the USC campus! We will have a booth (#133) to promote our reading clubs and recruit new volunteers. We are looking for volunteers to help staff the booth on Saturday and Sunday in two-hour shifts.

Shift Leads names are in bold and must have volunteered at least once before at the Reading to Kids booth. Volunteering with an experienced Shift Lead earlier that day qualifies you as to become a Shift Lead later that day or Sunday.

If you are interested in volunteering, please email info@readingtokids.org with your availability.

(If you can, during the Festival please wear your Reading to Kids shirt if you have one or order one if you don't!)

General Information

What is the Festival of Books?
The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books began in 1996 with a simple goal: to bring together the people who create books with the people who love to read them. The festival has since evolved to include live bands, poetry readings, chef demos, cultural entertainment and artists creating their work on-site. There's also a photography exhibit, film screenings followed by Q&A's and discussion panels on some of today's hottest topics. Click here for the Festival of Books website.
