SARAH SILVERMAN HEADLINES READING TO KIDS BENEFIT

Third annual event features silent auction and night of laughs

Hot off of the talk show circuit, including appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The View, and with a second season of her self titled “The Sarah Silverman Show” already in the works with Comedy Central, Sarah Silverman has agreed to headline the Reading to Kids Third Annual Comedy Night and Silent Auction.

The event will be held at the Hollywood Improv!, 8162 Melrose Avenue, on Tuesday, April 17, 2007.  The night will be kicked off with a silent auction beginning at 6:30 pm, followed by Sarah and Friends at 8:00 pm.

Also scheduled to take the stage is Maz Jobrani, who plays “Gary” on ABC’s “Knights of Prosperity.”  He can also be seen on Comedy Central’s “Axis of Evil Comedy Tour”.  Other notable comics from the talk show circuit include, Henry Phillips, Tig Notaro and Todd Glass.

Not to be missed, The Silent Auction includes two roundtrip tickets good anywhere in the continental U. S., from Southwest Airlines, a two night stay in a Mammoth condominium, and a diversity of tickets from the L.A. Opera to the Dodgers.

“We are thrilled Sarah Silverman has agreed to perform,” said Jessica Tritsch, program director, Reading to Kids.  “With her recent success and the amazing line-up of comedians that are scheduled, we are expecting a sold out show!”

Tickets are $25.00 and can be purchased through the website (http://www.readingtokids.org) or by calling (310) 479-7455.
