Howdy folks!
Don't forget to RSVP for our June 12th Reading Clubs -- yep, that's this Saturday! Come out and help make a difference; click here to volunteer!
We'll be coordinating with Beyond the Bell, a weekend tutoring program, at Gratts, Magnolia, and Noble Elementaries this month. That means nearly 900 kids are due to attend -- almost 300 more than we normally welcome! We'd love to welcome scores of volunteers to celebrate this amazing turnout! Please help us to ensure that these kids have a fantastic time at Reading to Kids.
Only Four More Days to Recruit!
This summer, we need your participation more than ever, and our Annual Recruitment Drive ends this Saturday!
Please ask your friends to submit Reading to Kids applications and come to volunteer with you (new applicants can enter your name in their volunteer application when asked how they learned about Reading to Kids). The volunteer who recruits the most new applicants will win a free R2K t-shirt and free entry for two to The Highlands Nightclub in Hollywood!
LA Works Day!
Thanks to all the hardworking, early-rising volunteers who came out to L.A. Works Day this weekend. By the looks of it, Reading to Kids volunteers had a big impact at Magnolia Elementary and at the L.A. River site. Kudos to all who turned out, especially those project and team leaders!
All the best,
