Reading to Kids Classroom Helper

Last updated April 21, 2010

Reading to Kids opportunities to volunteer in the classroom!  As a way of thanking the teachers at our schools for promoting the reading clubs to their students, each month we try to offer the teacher who has recruited the most students at each school a classroom helper for the day.

Among other things, classroom helpers have the chance to read stories, grade papers, prep assignments, make copies, and experience what it's like to be a teacher.  Dates and times are flexible according to your availability.  The school day is from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and we are looking for volunteers who are available for a full and/or half day.

For more information and to schedule your day in the classroom, please contact Rachel Zwass at Rachel.Zwass@readingtokids.org or call the office at (310) 479-7455.
