Illustrator: Felicia Bond
Date of Publication: 2002
ISBN: 0060283289
Grade Level: Kindergarten
Date(s) Used: July 2003

Synopsis: As you might imagine, there are great risks in bringing your mouse to school. For starters, he'll ask you for your lunchbox. And then a sandwich. And a snack for later. Still not satisfied, he'll want to participate in everything from math to soccer.

Craft ideas:

  • Make a mouse mask with whiskers.
  • What adventures would you have if you took a mouse to school? Draw!

*Note: These craft ideas are just suggestions. You can use them, but you don’t have to use them. You can expand upon them, or add your own twist. Remember, though, that the focus of your time should not be on the development and execution of a craft; the focus should be on the read-aloud and the enjoyment of the book!
