Synopsis: What should have been a perfect summer for one young boy is ruined when Jeremy Ross moves in and becomes number one on the narrator's enemy list. Fortunately, his father has a secret recipe for a pie that is guaranteed to help get rid of enemies.

Craft ideas:

  • What is your recipe for Enemy Pie? Make a recipe card, and decorate.
  • Make a friendship bracelet, with one link for each characteristic that it takes to be a good friend.
  • Make a pie crust (with criss-cross top), and draw inside, or describe ways to make friends. On the back, explain the story from Jeremy's point of view.

*Note: These craft ideas are just suggestions. You can use them, but you don’t have to use them. You can expand upon them, or add your own twist. Remember, though, that the focus of your time should not be on the development and execution of a craft; the focus should be on the read-aloud and the enjoyment of the book!
