Craft ideas:
•  Make instruments and play in a band! Volunteers, this may take some extra preparation; bring empty cans, rubber bands, beans, cups, anything to help make instruments.
•  Make a bookmark of a parade, or a person playing in a band. Or, make the bookmark in a shape of an instrument. It doesn't have to be an instrument that exists right now (think Dr. Seuss!)

*Note: These craft ideas are just suggestions. You can use them, but you don't have to use them. You can expand upon them, or add your own twist. Remember, though, that the focus of your time should not be on the development and execution of a craft; the focus should be on the read-aloud and the enjoyment of the book!
